“ What a pleasant surprise to walk into for our date night! The wine was great yet uniquely local, the food catered to both our tastes extremely well and we had 3 very enjoyable courses each. Our night was full of conversation and was finished off nicely with an amazing dessert called Nan's Lemon Tart Highly recommended. ”

“ I understand this restaurant has just opened a few weeks ago, so I'll cut them some slack for giving it a go. There are some things that I like, and some that I don't, and though I've given it a 4 star rating, I feel it's more of a high 3. The restaurant is clean, staff are polite, food service was expeditious and generally delicious. My rare steak was medium rare and the duck base was a little watery, but all pretty good. The actual venue has a strangely sterile feeling. White walls, black and white framed photos and a pair of dazzling wall lights. Strangely the aircon was on, lots of jumpers present. We were asked if we wanted to order dessert at the start but not drinks, took cutlery but didn't replace them. At the end they didn't give us a bill, just quoted the total amount. I love being green, but seriously, give me a paper bill. ”
“ Wow, did I find a little gem! I ordered the Beef Cheek which was slow cooked in red wine jus. Divine! The cheek was succulent and melted in my mouth. There was a lovely depth of flavour in the red wine jus and the mash was deliciously silky. Can’t wait to visit again! ”
“ Went to Nick's tonight for wedding anniversary dinner. Food was great. I started with a prawn cocktail. It's served in a bowl on rocks with dry ice under it and some water is tipped into to it so you get a Smoky effect and a bit of show. The prawns were very large. Largest I have had in Perth. For mains my wife order a Salmon dish that also hard some super sized prawns on it. I had food envy when I saw it. I ordered the snapper (sorry about the photo showing it a bit eaten but I forgot about taking a photo and dived straight into it) . In total we had 3 dish's and all very good. We will be going back there again. ”
“ Dinner - 8 pax with a baby I decided to try this restaurant for the first time for my birthday. The restaurant was happy to accommodate my request for a corner table with space to fit a pram. All I can say is that the food was divine and all my guests were really happy with their food. We tried a few dishes from the menu but the highlight would be the duck rilette, fillet mignon, beef cheek and the scallops with duck chorizo. Definitely will definitely be returning to this neighbourhood gem. ”
“ Worth a drive to Kelmscott despite the rising petrol costs. Ate here on a Wednesday- everything tasted amazing! Quality food with reasonable portion sizes. It’s great that they try and source local supplies. Prawn cocktail and Chicken ala Jessica is a must order Lots of parking at the front. Will go back. ”
“ After dining at Nicko's a couple of times now my opinion is solid. The restaurant has a truly welcoming and comfortable vibe throughout, the staff are knowledgeable and very welcoming too. The dishes I have tried range from Butter Chicken curry, beautiful Pork Belly to perfectly cooked seared steak I have never had a disappointing dish and they are all well priced. Make sure you get to try the desserts too, especially Nan's lemon tart! ”
